Women Plan For 50/50 In 2021

Women on the Copperbelt province have unanimously resolved to press for fifty percent representation at local government and parliamentary levels in the 2021 general elections.
The women have recommended to their political parties to ensure adoption of 50 percent women, and also discourage voting on party lines.
Action plan coordinator Judith Kabemba is hopeful that the 50/50 target will be achieved as the initiative has been embraced by all political parties in the province.
And Non-Governmental Organizations’ Coordinating Council executive Director Engwase Mwale says NGOCC will support the women’s cause.
