ZCTU to Demand Higher Salaries To Compensate Fuel Hike

Zambia Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) President Chishimba Nkole says unions will be compelled to start negotiating for higher wages due to the recent increase in fuel prices.
Mr. Nkole was speaking at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of ZCTU held under the theme “ZCTU at 50: Sustaining the worker’s struggle for social justice and decent jobs.”
Other notable speakers at the celebrations were Labour Minister Joyce Simukoko, International Labour Organisation (ILO) Assistant Director Aeneas Chuma, and Zambia Federation of Employers (ZFE) President Tyson Chisambo among others.
