ZRA 2016 Targeted Revenue Collection Short By Over K300 Million

The Zambia Revenue Authority-ZRA-has disclosed that its targeted revenue collection for this year is short by over 300 Million Kwacha.
ZRA had targeted to collect K23.8 Billion in the year 2016.
Commissioner General, Kingsley Chanda is, however, optimistic the target will be met before the end of the year.
He says the failure to meet revenue target is not only a performance failure but also what he termed a serious toxic governance issue affecting the entire nation.
Mr. Chanda says he will not tolerate fraud, corruption, smuggling and anything that erodes tax revenue.
