Former Tourism and Arts Minister Sylvia Masebo has told the Lusaka Magistrates Court that late former President Michael Sata advised her to fire Zambia Wildlife Authority-ZAWA-Director General Edwin Matokwani and to dissolve the board after State House raised concerns over the tender for concessioning the 21 hunting blocks.Masebo says she was directly called at State House where a meeting was held with the then President and was advised to get back to the drawing board after it heard of the anomalies in the tender process.She says the tender was withdrawn after she informed the ZAWA board Chairperson.
Ms Masebo is charged with Abuse of Authority of Office in relation to the cancellation of a tender for hunting concessions.
