Capital Markets 2016 Performance Described As Poor

The Securities and Exchange Commission has described the performance of Capital Markets in the year 2016 as poor.
Commission Acting Chief Executive Officer Diana Sichone says the market has been characterised by low activities, declining share prices, falling index and declining market capitalization.
Ms Sichone says the decline in share prices has made companies listed on the Lusaka Stock Exchange cheap and vulnerable to takeovers by other foreign companies.
She said this in Lusaka today when she announced the status of the capital markets in Zambia.
