Displaced Kalumbila Site Settlers Appeal For Better Livelihood

The over six hundred displaced settlers from the site where Kalumbila minerals was established have called on the mining firm to start purchasing cassava cultivated from the ongoing conservation farming initiative. This comes after the mining firm relocated the settlers to a new housing unit and gave them land with inputs to embark on cassava and maize farming.
The Mining Agricultural Field Officer Diaden Noah says the project which has so far seen 48 of the displaced households benefit from the cassava project, started in November 2015.
