House Fire Leaves One Child Dead, Another Severely Burnt

A two-year-old male child has been burnt to death while another one aged four is grappling with severe burns in hospital after the house they were sleeping in caught fire in Lusaka’s Kabanana Compound.
Both Police Public Relations Officer Mwata Katongo and University Teaching Hospital-UTH Public Public Relations Manager Mwenya Mulenga have confirmed the incident to MUVI TV NEWS.
Police say preliminary investigations indicate that the mother of the two children went on a drinking spree, leaving the children alone with the candle burning.
