The cost of living for Lusaka as measured by the JCTR Basic Needs Basket for an average family of five hit a first time high at five thousand kwacha in the month of October 2016.
Jesuit Center for Theological Reflection has since called for more effort to improve the living conditions of the majority poor.Efforts such as enhancing access to affordable credit by Small and Medium sized Enterprise, widening exports by investing in production of non-traditional exports and increased support to the Farmer Input Support Programme will also need to be accompanied by skills development.This is according to a statement issued to MUVI TV News.
