Lusaka Councilors Petitioned President Lungu Over Salaries

Councilors in Lusaka have petitioned President Edgar Lungu over remarks by Minister of Local Government Vincent Mwale that they are not full time civic leaders hence must look for jobs in the private sector.
The councilors say the Minister’s statement is detrimental to their work.
They say the Minister was ill- advised because his pronouncement showed no consideration for the councilors who get a meagre allowance.
