Over 13,000 GBV Cases Recorded As Of September 2016

Zambia has recorded over 13,000 Gender Based Violence-GBV cases as of September, 2016.
The numbers show a rise in GBV cases with defilement claiming close to two thousand while murder and assault occasioning actual bodily harm also getting their shares.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Kampamba Mulenga says it is disappointing that GBV has continued swelling despite an increase in organisations championing an end to such vices.
The minister was speaking when she officiated at YMCA’s Annual General Meeting in Kitwe.
