Private Sector Urges Govt To Deal With Fiscal Indiscipline

Players in the Private sector have urged government to deal with fiscal indiscipline and wasteful expenditure that have contributed to the current economic challenges.Zambian Economic Consultant, John Kasanga says in as much as government is preaching tough measures, it must be seen to be walking the talk as well.Mr Kasanga made the remarks during a 2017 Budget analysis discussion programe organised by KPGM in Lusaka.And Bankers Association of Zambia Chairperson Leonard Mwanza is concerned with the high interest rates and other high costs slapped on consumers.Minister of Finance Felix Mutati and his commerce counterpart Margarete Mwanakatwe stressed the need for fiscal consolidation and economic stability.
