The Lusaka High Court has nullified the election of Professor Nkandu Luo as Munali Member of Parliament.
In delivering Judgement High Court Judge Edward Musona said the Electoral Commission of Zambia failed to conduct a fair and transparent election in Munali constituency by failing to provide GEN 12 forms in 14 polling stations.
Judge Musona also cited the rampant violence which he said prevented the majority electorate from casting their votes.
The Judge also stated that Professor Luo abused her office by using public resources following the ruling by the Constitutional Court that ministers were in office illegally after the dissolution of parliament.
Meanwhile Professor Luo says she has instructed her lawyer to appeal to the Constitutional Court.
