Public Vehicles Night Movement Ban Ill-Timed

The ban imposed on public service vehicles from moving at night is said to have come at a wrong time.
Zambia National Marketeers Credit Association-ZANAMACA-President, Frank Kameya says the ban will have a negative impact on the economy.
He says marketeers will be affected as it will now be difficult for them to deliver their produce on time.
And commuters’ rights association of Zambia National Secretary, Pascal Chikumbi says members have received the ban with mixed feelings.
On Monday the Ministry of Transport announced the ban through Statutory Instrument-SI-76 which will come in to from 27th November 2016.
The move is a measure aimed at curbing road traffic accidents.
