Three Kasama Police Officers In Court For Aggravated Robbery

Three Police officers have appeared in a Kasama Magistrates Court for alleged aggravated robbery.The three appeared before Resident Magistrate Bathromel Kaongo.
Edward Musonda, 34, Kelvin Chaile, 35 and a 47-year-old Clement Chansa are said to have robbed property worth more than K10,000.Particulars before the court are that on August 28 and November 3, 2016, the trio all armed and while acting together with Francis Nsama, the suspects robbed August Chansa, Alexander Lukwesa and Nawa Mwila.The case has, however, been adjourned to December 12, 2016 this year for another mention.Meanwhile, other police officers at the court attempted to break a MUVI TV camera for filming fellow cops as they entered the courtroom, while harassing Journalist Njenje Chizu.
