DPP Subpoenaed In Mwaliteta Bail Application

The Director of Public Prosecutions-DPP has been subpoenaed in the case where five UPND officials have applied for constitutional bail.
This is after the accused complained of being in detention for a long time without trial.
Obvious Mwaliteta and four others have been charged with aggravated robbery and have been in jail since August 14, 2016.
As the bail application comes up Wednesday morning for a hearing, DPP Lillian Siyuni has submitted that bail should not be granted to the accused.
