Government has started ferrying refugees from Mpulungu to Maheba refugee Camp in North Western province.
The refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo-DRC-and Burundi have been camped at the Zambia-Congo border post.
Meanwhile, the Zambia Red Cross Society is providing humanitarian aid to the refugees.
Zambia has been recording a steady influx of refugees from the DRC following escalation of violence in that country due to deferred elections.
