Government Urged To Support Community Schools

Government has been urged to next year start giving community schools the due attention as they contribute to education provision in the country.
Reformed Open Community Schools-ROCS-Executive Director, Marlon Phiri says community schools are recognized through various pieces of legislation but have not been receiving the needed Government support.
He says many community schools face numerous challenges such as lack of teaching aids and materials.
Mr. Phiri was speaking in Lusaka when ROCS members of staff under the pencil project bought pencils worth K 5,000 which will be sent to Community schools.
