JAWUZ Join Calls to Oppose Wage Freeze

The labour movement in the country seems unanimously resolved to reject the government silent wage freeze on 2017 conditions of service.
The Judiciary and Allied Workers Union of Zambia-JAWUZ-has joined the Zambia congress of trade Unions-ZCTU-in denouncing government over the wage freeze.
JAWUZ President Peter Mwale says a wage freeze emanating from what he terms useless government economic theories will not be accepted.
He says the labour movement will be left with no option but resort to industrial unrest if the silent wage freeze is imposed.
