Ndola Northrise Family Evicted

A family of Northrise in Ndola has been evicted following writ of possession by Zambia Railways Limited.
It is understood that Zambia Railways has sold the property to an individual, leading to the eviction of Francis Mwansa, a former company employee.
However, Mr. Mwansa argues that he was offered to buy the house as a sitting tenant and has not been given his retrenchment package after working for 30 years.
Two members of the family have since been arrested by police for conduct likely to cause the breach of peace.
