North-West Council Of Elders Demand Inclusion On Mine Boards

The North-western Council of Elders have demanded for an inclusion of local stakeholders on the mine boards for the benefits of the communities.
Council of Elders Chairperson Lukas Chikoti says it is inevitable that the local voice is heard through the local stakeholders than only having foreigners present in meetings where major decisions are made.
Mr Chikoti says the three mining firms in the area should have locals speaking the same voice if the province is to attain meaningful development.
Mr. Chikoti made the remarks in an interview with MUVI TV NEWS in Solwezi.
