Poor Surveillance Contributing To Animal Depletion

Lack of adequate equipment and infrastructure development in most game reserves has been attributed as a major factor in the depletion of endangered species like Elephants, Rhinos and pangolins.
Ministry of Tourism Department of Wildlife conservation Assistant Director, Bruce Chomba has disclosed that the animal population has continued depleting due to the porous state of the reserves which allows poachers to go in.
He made the remarks at the handle over ceremony of Equipment and new infrastructure at Mukambi camp in West Lunga National park in Mwinilunga at a cost of K 750,000 kwacha from Trident Foundation.
FQM country manager and board chairperson, General Kinsley Chinkuli says the mine is committed to support the conservation of wildlife.
