Solwezi’s Highland and Zambia compounds have been cut off from the rest of the district following the collapse of a Bridge which was connecting the areas.
A check at the site found pedestrians struggling to cross while vehicles were turning back.
The residents say it is unfortunate that the local authority has continued approving shoddy works done by contractors.
Recently residents of Solwezi Wisdom- Kazomba complained that a bridge connecting the area to other parts of the district is on the verge of collapse due to alleged poor workmanship.
