Triumphant Zambia Junior golfers arrived back in the country on Sunday from Malawi where they participated in the Annual Tri-Nations tournament that included Zimbabwe, Zambia and hosts Malawi.
In the boys team Zambia finished top with 26 points, while favourites Zimbabwe trailed in the 3rd position with 21 points while Malawi came out second with 25 points.
And in the girls’ category, first time participants Zambian queens collected the top price with an impressive 11.5 points while Zimbabwe came out second with 7.5 points while Malawi were the tail enders with a 4.5 points.
The victorious junior golfers have since met with the Union President Jason Kazilimani and other officials at the Lusaka golf club where they have been encouraged to shift focus for more challenges ahead of them as they try to stamp authority in Zambia’s fastest growing sport.
