Two Chipata PF Cadres Arrested For Breach of Peace Bailed

Two PF cadres who were arrested for conduct likely to cause breach of peace in Petauke have been released after meeting bail conditions.
The duo, Mubiana Mabebo and Danny Lungu immediately went to the hospital for medications as they were arrested with injuries.
Police officers at Petauke Central Police had refused to give them medical report forms but the Court on Wednesday ordered that the duo be given the forms on grounds that it was their constitutional right.
The two Chipata based PF cadres belong to rival camps calling for party elections at Provincial level.
The had travelled to Petauke when party Secretary General Davies Mwila was in the area and were beaten by fellow PF leaders but police instead arrested the injured cadres.
Early this month, another PF cadre from a group calling for elections Chinga Kasalika was allegedly beaten by the Provincial Chairperson Andrew Lubusha but police also decided to arrest the beaten victim.
