Army Worms ‘Shoot’ 10 Districts In Western Province

The invasion of army worms, stalk borer and black beetles is threatening the food security of 10 districts of the Western Province.Western Province Permanent Secretary Mwangala Liomba says Sesheke District is the worst hit with more than 1,700 hectares of maize already lost.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture has sent 400 litres of insecticide to help alleviate the problem in the province.
