Defender Nyambe Mulenga Retires

Zesco United have announced that defender Nyambe Mulenga has retired from active football because of injury.
The 29 year old has not recovered fully since breaking his leg in a fatal accident that occurred in Kabwe in December 2014.
Mulenga was part of the 2012 Chipolopolo Boys winning squad having earlier announced his presence at the 2007 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Canada.
Zesco United club public relations officer Katebe Chengo says Mulenga will be given employment at Zesco.
Meanwhile, Chengo says the club has retired Maybin Mwaba and Lottie Bwalya and will also be employed by Zesco.
Nine players have left the club while seven players have been recruited.
Among the players recruited included Zanaco’s Davy Daka and Fackson Kapumbu, Idris Mbombo and Marseille Kalonda from Kabwe Warriors.
The Club has loaned out Lackson Chewe, Emmanuel Mayuka, Mathews Nkowani, Juma Luziyo and Ayo Oluwafemi among other players.
