LCC Pledges to Work On Chingwere ‘Grave Exhuming’ Stream

Lusaka City Council-LCC has inspected Chunga Cemetery where some graves are being washed away due to heavy downpour in Lusaka.
The graves are being washed away by the heavy current passing through the stream on the edge of Chingwere Cemetery.
LCC Engineering Services Director Maliwa Muchuu says immediate task will be to clear the stream to ensure free flow of water.
The stream demarcating the graveyard and Matero north is eroding some graves resulting in some coffins and blankets used to cover the dead being exposed.
