Lusaka Farmers To Access Pesticides From DC’s Office

The Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit has called on farmers whose fields have been affected by stalk borers and army worms to access chemicals at the Agriculture and District Commissioner’s Offices.
Lusaka District Commissioner, Captain Davison Mulenga who has described the attack on crops as disastrous, says his office has begun dispatching Zambia National Service officers and other government officers to spray and sensitise farmers on the pests.
He was responding to concerns by most affected farmers who have had no idea on how to protect their fields against pests.
