Lusaka House Owner Denies Building On Sewer Pipe

The owner of the house that is allegedly being built on a sewer pipe in Lusaka’s Hellen Kaunda Township has disputed the allegation.
Smart Lungu says he bought the plot from a former councilor and that the Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company inspected the area before he commenced construction.
But Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company Manager- Marketing and Public Relations, Topsy Sikalinda, says they are yet to establish whether or not the house is on top of a sewer pipe.
