Maiteneke Residents Plagued By Sewer Effluent

Sewer effluent has continued plaguing residents of Lusaka’s Maiteneke area in Matero constituency.
One of the affected residents, Dorothy Phiri, says the situation has been going on for the past two years.
She has attributed the problem to failure by authorities to put up new sewer pipes in the area.
Residents now fear a disease outbreak, especially with the heavy rains being experienced in the city.
