Over 400 Lusaka’s Makeni Villa Residents Lose Case Over Land

Over 400 residents of Lusaka’s Makeni Villa have again lost their court case in which they were challenging their displacement and subsequent order to demolish their houses that were illegally built on two farms belonging to Benny Chundu.

Lusaka High Court Judge Susan Wanjelani has refused to stay the judgment which has ordered Mr. Chundu to take his property as he is the bonafide and legal owner of the land.

The High Court ruled that Mr Chundu is a registered proprietor of the two farms and gave him an order to demolish all the illegal structures.
