UPP Calls For International Sanctions On Corrupt Leaders

The United Progressive Peoples Party has appealed to the international community to impose a ban on political leaders who have been known to be involved in corrupt activities.
Party Leader Saviour Chishimba says there is a lot of corruption among some ministers and government officials.He has cited the Malawi maize export scam as one example.
Meanwhile, Dr. Chishimba says he is happy with the progress made by the anti-corruption commission on the corruption case involving the exportation of maize to Malawi at a cost of about 34 million US dollars.
Several senior officials in Malawi have been suspended in relation to the maize deal involving the Zambia Cooperative Federation.
