Kalingalinga Residents Demand Garbage Collection Fees Reduction

Residents of Lusaka’s Kalingalinga compound have called for a downward adjustment of garbage collection fees.
The residents say the current fees do not match with the service delivery.
As a result, some residents are opting to burn the waste while others dump waste indiscriminately.
They say forty kwacha per month per family is expensive considering that garbage is only collected twice a week.
