Ndola Council Angers Masala Market Traders

Traders at Ndola’s Masala market are angered by the Ndola City Council’s move to allow vendors to trade in the Central Business District.

The traders have wondered why the council has failed to move the vendors to existing markets where there is enough space to accommodate everyone.

Ndola Council has moved vendors to Chisokone Avenue within town centre in what it terms as a cleaning exercise.

Town Clerk Ernest Sumani has justified the move stating that the issue of vendors is a delicate one which needs to be handled carefully.
