UTH Continues Hiring Casual Workers

Casual workers at the University Teaching Hospital-UTH-have been issued with identity cards-IDs-by management, declaring them as casual workers in spite of government’s ban on casualization.
The workers are demanding that UTH management explains what the IDs mean, saying government promised them permanent jobs.
Ministry of Health Spokesperson, Dr. Kennedy Malama, has disclosed that the Ministry is advising UTH on the matter.
Dr. Malama says the Ministry will issue a comprehensive statement on Friday.
