11 People Nabbed For Unlawful Possession of Government Trophies

The Department of National Parks and Wildlife has arrested 11 people for unlawful dealing and possession of government trophies.
The suspects were in possession of two pairs of ivory and 412 Kilograms of Hippo meat in Mongu District of Western Province at the time of the arrest.
Ministry of Tourism and Arts Public Relations Officer Sakabilo Kalembwe attributed the escalation of such illegal activities to the increased international traffic between Namibia and Democratic Republic of Congo via Mongu.
