Arresting Officer in UPND Unlawful Drilling Case Put On Bench Warrant

An arresting officer in a matter where UPND vice president Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba and 21 youths stand charged for unlawful drilling has been placed on bench warrant.
When the matter came up for return of bench warrant two youths indicted with Mr Mwamba, the state said the warrant has not been executed hence requesting the court to place the accused securities on bench warrant.
Lusaka Magistrate Mwaka Mikalile ruled that she will equally place the arresting officer on bench warrant for failing to execute the warrant.
Mr. Mwamba and 21 UPND youths are accused of unlawful drilling.
