CBU Lecturers Warn Over IMF Engagement

The Copperbelt University academia has expressed concern over the looming International Monetary Fund-IMF bailout.
Speaking on behalf of other lecturers, Professor Owen Sichone says public institutions will suffer and thousands of job losses will be experienced.
Professor Sichone, who is also Copperbelt University Director of the Dag Hammarskjöld Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies, has since urged government to exercise caution on the matter.
He was speaking at a public discussion to discuss the state of the economy organised by the Civil Society for Poverty Reduction-CSPR at the Copperbelt University in Kitwe.
