CCPC Aims to End Consumer Exploitation

Increased regulatory of online content is what the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission-CCPC aims to achieve in a bid to clamp down on bogus marketing of goods and services that exploit consumers.
The commission says digital rights of users is cardinal because it is an assured way of regulating a portion of the internet that is predominantly unregulated due to complexities of the digital platform that exposes many users to content that at times is in bad taste and for a wrong clientele.
It has further been observed that the explosive usage of internet in Zambia is commendable but it still needs to reach all spheres of society unlike the urban dominance hence rural areas lag behind in development.
