Hundreds Of Kalomo Farmers Protest

Hundreds of farmers in Kalomo took to the street in protest against the e-Voucher System.
One of the affected farmers Dicky Siachile says he does not understand why the district agriculture office has failed to execute a process that runs in tandem with the rainy season.
He adds that many maize growers have been denied the chance to partake of the national resource to contribute to the food basket because of alleged inertia in the relevant government department.
Earlier the agitated farmers pelted stones on the Lusaka Highway before Police officers descended on the mob.
