Proposed St Mary’s Mall Still under Probe

The Zambia Environmental Management Agency –ZEMA-is still conducting an environmental impact assessment on the piece of land next to St. Mary’s secondary school.
A mall is proposed to be constructed on the said piece of land.
ZEMA Public Relations Manager, Ireen Lungu says the agency could not finish its assessment by end of last month as earlier indicated.
She however says the process has reached an advanced stage.
Parents and pupils have strongly opposed the proposed construction of the mall near the secondary school.
