Retired Non-Commissioned, Warrant Zambia Army Officers Sue Government

18 retired non-commissioned and warrant Zambia Army officers have sued government for non-payment of their housing allowance arrears amounting to 570 thousand Kwacha.
Joseph Mudada and 17 others have cited the Attorney General Likando Kalaluka in the matter in the Lusaka High Court.
In their statement of claim the 18 retirees contend that following the adjustment of their housing allowances by the Zambia army on 6th May 2003 they never received their allowances.
The 18 claim that they have on so many occasions written to the army commander, minister of defense, and the President requesting for the payment of the outstanding arrears of 36 months but to no avail.
The retirees now want the court to compel government to pay them their allowances and damages for the inconvenience caused.
