State House’s Statement in Maize Gate Scandal Disappoints Opposition FDD

The Zambian opposition has sharply reacted to a statement attributed to State House that the Malawian Parliamentary Commission of inquiry report on the Maize-gate scandal was misguided.
Forum for Democracy and Development-FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza says State House is allegedly guilty of participating in the dubious deal for it to comment in the manner.
He says it wrong by state house to suggest that the report is misguided when it was done by professionals who got submission from Zambia and Malawi.
Mr Mwanza has, however, warned State House that in as much as they want to silence the issue, the matter will be raised once they leave government.
Both commissions of inquiry instituted by President Peter Mutharika and that of the Parliamentary Committee are implicating two Zambian big wigs.
