CCZ Welcomes Rights Body Findings On ZAF Officer Murder

The Council of Churches in Zambia- CCZ says the death of ZAF officer Mark Choongwa in Police Custody last month must be pursued to a concrete conclusion.
Describing the death a dubious one, CCZ General Secretary Susan Matale states that findings of the Human Right Investigations must be taken serious as they reveal some of the errors by law enforcement officers.
The commission established among other things that there was use of excessive force by police officers at Woodlands Police Station where the deceased was detained following a traffic offense.
