Councils Challenged To Improve Service Delivery

The Local Government Association of Zambia has observed that most councils have not lived up to their mandate of proving a service to communities.
LGAZ North-western Chapter Chairperson Nicholas Mukumbi says there is need for councils to concentrate on providing effective services irrespective of the social status of the people in the communities they serve.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mukumbi is also happy that councilors’ allowances have now gone up to 3000 Kwacha from 700 Kwacha.
