Environmentalist Advocates For Ban Of Shopping Plastic Bags

An environmentalist has called for a complete ban on the use of plastic bags for the sake of protecting the environment.
Pascal Chikumbi says the increase in customs duty on plastic shopping bags from 25 percent to 40 percent in this year’s budget has not deterred the use of plastic bags as shop owners have only slapped the marginal cost to consumers.
