Govt Owes NCZ 82 Million Dollars

Government owes Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia-NCZ 82 Million US Dollars for various projects.
NCZ Chief Executive Officer, Zuze Banda, says this is adversely affecting the company’s operations.
Mr Banda also says suppliers of goods and services are owed huge sums of money while retirees are owed over Thirty Million Kwacha dating back to January 2014.
He was speaking when Agriculture Minister, Dora Siliya, toured the plant.
Mr Banda has since cited a number of other challenges including the need for Fifty Million US Dollars to facilitate local production of Ammonia.
Meanwhile, Ms. Siliya has challenged NCZ management to come up with an alternative business plan for the company.
