HH Granted Preliminary Inquiry Into Validity Of Treason Charge

The Lusaka Magistrate Court has allowed UPND President, Hakainde Hichilema, to start a Preliminary Inquiry to ascertain the validity of the Treason charge.

Mr. Hichilema is jointly charged with five others for attempting to take over the Executive Power of the State during the Kuomboka Ceremony.

Chief Mukuni who was among the sympathisers at court has called for the release of Mr. Hichilema and his aides.

Can the state justify just how HH wanted to take/overthrow the GOVT and how he would have declared himself President of the republic of Zambia at a ceremony yet instruments of power are only conferred by the court/chief justice and ECZ?Zambia Police we urge you to be professional in your duties otherwise you are an embarrassment to the general public as well as to the international community over the indictment slaped on the opposition leader HH.You keep amending and twisting the charges does it mean you do not know how to draft charges or you are just learning?
