Mulungushi University Students Class Boycott Over Fees Continue

Students at Mulungushi University in Kabwe are still not sure whether the hiked fees will be reduced or not as government has remained mute on the matter.
The students have been has ordered to resume classes with immediate effect.
Central Province Minister Sydney Mushanga says that students should resume classes as government and management are still looking into the matter.
The minister has also ordered central province police commissioner Lombe Kamukoshi to release the 59 students who were arrested in connection with the protests.
The minister was speaking when he, together with central province permanent secretary Chanda Kabwe and higher education permanent secretary Owen Mukemezulu addressed the students at the institution.
The students have been boycotting classes since Thursday over the hiked fees.
