Police Discontinue Mtendere Attempted Sexual Abuse Case

The Zambia Police Service says the matter in which Mtendere Ward 30 Secretary attempted to sexually abuse a 27-year-old woman has been disposed of.
Police Spokesperson, Esther Katongo, says the case was reported to the police and was quickly dealt with at the Victim Support Unit-VSU in Mtendere.
Ms. Katongo says the VSU closed the case as it is a civil matter, advising the victim to report the case at a higher level if not satisfied.
Last Friday, 28-year-old Matias Phiri attempted to sexually abuse Lazarous Mwamba’s wife, Felistus Mwamba, promising her employment under the Millennium Challenge Account Zambia Project.
